80-55-06 Dura-Bar Ductile Iron As Cast

Alro stocks Dura-Bar® Type 80-55-06 As Cast Ductile Iron Bar. This Ductile Iron will contain nodular graphite in a matrix of ferrite and pearlite. The pearlite/ferrite structure provides higher wear resistance and strength when compared to a ferritic grade of ductile iron. This material will be readily machinable with good surface finishes. Tensile and yield strengths will be similar to AISI 1040 steel in the as-rolled condition. This grade conforms to ASTM A536 grade 80-55-06.
